How To Integrate GroupKit With GoHighLevel *2026 UPDATE

2026 UPDATE: There are now two versions of the GHL integration. GHL 1.0 (older) and GHL 2.0. We recommend using GHL 2.0, but GHL 1.0 is still supported at the time of updating this article.

GoHighLevel v2.0 Integration Guide:

Note 1: GoHighLevel v2.0 will sync tags from Client Genie to GHL.

Note 2: As per the integration video, the following scopes are required via Settings > Private Integrations:

  • View Contacts - contacts.readonly
  • Edit Contacts - contacts.write
  • View Locations - locations.readonly
  • View Tags - locations/tags.readonly
  • Edit Tags - locations/tags.write
  • View Workflows - workflows.readonly

Note 3: Contacts are automatically tagged: gk-approved (allowing you to begin automations/workflows with this tag).
